About Us:

  We are a small, comfortable Lodge, offering quality bed & breakfast service, with the comforts of home and the extra amenities to make your stay a memorable vacation.
  We are on the outskirts of Panajachel, 10 minutes from downtown.
• A Bridge
  We are an educational tour service, providing a Bridge to the contemporary Mayan world. We have direct contacts with native healers, naturistas, artists and weavers. Through us your encounters with them become genuine personal experiences.
• A Springboard
  We are a Springboard to memorable outdoor experiences, in a place where nature has been stretched to its limits by a world-class lake, framed by volcanoes and escarpments, in a semi-tropical setting of eternal Spring. We know the trails and provide for your safety.

Posada Los Encuentros is an intimate lodge with six guest units, a relaxing lounge, an informal bar, a wood-burning sauna, a naturally (thermal) heated lounging pool (minerals, no chemicals), a natural medicinal plant garden, and a well-equipped fitness center. Posada Los Encuentros y Centro Cultural offers studies of Maya history and tradition.

We offer nourishing breakfasts and other amenities.

  We offer an assortment of standardized tours which can be taken as offered or modified to serve the interests of clients. From ancient Maya ritual sides, Natural Healing, arte naif, to almost forgotten fables. Our cultural tour and travel service is an outgrowth of Richard Morgan's fascination (Author of -THE ATITLAN REFERENCE GUIDE- the lake's only eco-cultural book) with the subject and his desire to share the results of his study of the lake with others who have the same interest but, perhaps, less time for personal investigation.

Of Special Note:
From time to time we offer structured programs that range from language and culture study to physical and spiritual fitness. We can also help you pursue individual interests. We have a personal fitness trainer. We can put you in touch with massage therapists and other human resources and point you toward a variety of personal adventures around the Lake, and beyond.

How to find us:
In Panajachel, take the road which leaves towards Santa Catarina. When you cross the bridge over the main river (Rio San Francisco) in Panajachel, you will see a large sign directly ahead, and you can also see the Posada slightly to your left, two large yellow, two-story buildings just off the main road.
