About Us:
Those who want the very best choose the Pool Side Casita with unparalleled lake views located within the grounds of a premier estate or a private romantic lakefront villa with three bedrooms and three baths on 100 meters of lake shore.

Nimajay (pronounced "neem-a-high" - Mayan for "big house") is located in an exclusive area of the lake (locally known as "mansion row") and was constructed for Guatemala's most prominent family. The name was given to the estate by the Mayan construction workers and adopted by the owners upon completion. When the property was acquired in 2005 by North Americans, the family requested and the new owners agreed that the estate's name be retained.

The primary estate, consisting of the "Big House" and pool side casita are situated on over four magnificently terraced and landscaped acres with incredible lake views. There is a separate three bedroom/three bath guest villa with over 100 meters of private lake frontage.

Pool Side Casita: The casita and its private bath are furnished with custom designed queen size wrought iron bed and designer chairs, native fabrics, large screen plasma television, USA Direct Television (high definition) with all channels, DVD player, refrigerator and other conveniences. High speed internet and a full gymnasium are available at the main house for your use. Enjoy the solar heated pool (the only heated pool at the lake) or relax in the hot tub. Breakfast is included and with advanced notice every effort will be made to accommodate special dietary requests.

Main House: The "Big House" may be rented for special events or for those who simply want the absolute best the lake has to offer. The 7500 square feet of living space offers a 2500 square foot great room, office, media area with plasma television and USA Direct Television (high definition) with all channels, gymnasium, three luxury bedrooms, five full baths and an additional two bedrooms and two baths for staff. Rates and terms of rental are available upon request.

Lakefront Villa: Currently under renovation, the architecturally designed Villa will provide luxury accommodations with three bedroom/three baths, full kitchen, and private security on over 1 acre of grounds and 100 meters of private lake frontage.

• January 3 - March 29th
  July 1st - Sept. 15th
  Oct. 26th - Dec. 20th:
• Casita-$149 per night; $750 per week
• Lake Villa-$255 per night; $1500 per week

• April 18th - June 30th
  September 16th - October 25th:
• Casita-$129 per night; $625 per week
• Lake Villa-$225 per night; $1200 per week

• Holiday Season
  March 30th - April 17th
  December 21st - January 2nd:
• Casita- $179 per night; $875 per week.
• Lake Villa-$295 per night; $1900 per week.
  (Minimum 4 day rental during holiday season)

The North American owners, with the assistance of the country's leading architects and interior designers, have devoted two years to refining and improving Nimajay. Furnished with custom furniture, custom chandeliers, antiques and native art (including paintings commissioned for the estate) the property is now available to those who want the very best. The pool and hot tub are works of art, completely covered with one inch mosaic tiles set by artisans and feature the latest in solar pool heating and technology.

How to find us:
From Antigua or Guatemala city there are shuttles available from any travel agent that will take you to Panajachel (about 3 hours - $10), the main town near Lake Atitlan. From there ask the driver to take you to Kilomiter 7.5, between Santa Catarina Palopo and San Antonio Palopo

Reservation Policy:

This reservation service is free, as the non-refundable 10% deposit is credited against the total value of your reservation. It is required in order to block your space and confirm your reservation with the balance of 90% due upon your arrival with us.

We may require additional payments to hold your particular reservation up to and including a full 100% prepayment depending upon the details of your reservation. You will be advised of these additional reservation payments (if any) before you are asked to make any confirmation deposit

Cancellation Policy:
After reservation, you are free to cancel for any reason and without penalty up to three days prior to schedule arrival. Any later cancellation or a no-show will cause a billing of one night's lodging per the terms of your confirmed reservation unless otherwise stated in your reservation confirmation.
